Pragmatism in Iraq's Military Prisons

But taking over the U.S. military's detainee detention system in Iraq in April 2007 was a big one. The prison system, which holds about 22,000 detainees, was known to most Americans primarily for the horrifying treatment of prisoners at Abu Ghraib.
